Originally from Utrera, a town in Seville known for its flamenco tradition, it was here that he cultivated his flamenco talent from an early age. His origins and early days in Utrera

Born in 1974 in Utrera, Seville, Jesús Alvarez Linares, known in the flamenco world as Jesule de Utrera, was fortunate to grow up in a family environment deep rooted in flamenco. Growing up in a family of accomplished musicians, Jesus is the son of the renowned flamenco guitarist, Juan Heredia, and nephew of the legendary flamenco singer, Perrate de Utrera. 

From early on, Jesule was immersed in  the rich tradition of cante jondo which defines Utrera as one of the most emblematic bastions of pure, authentic flamenco. 

From an early age, Jesule has absorbed the rhythms, styles and palos characteristic of flamenco, guided directly by the influence of his family and the local flamenco community. This early exposure set the foundations for his development as a talented flamenco singer, whose voice was soon to be recognised for its depth, emotion and impeccable technique. 

Jesule’s career took off on the local stages of Utrera and Sevilla, where his voice with unique tones and his ability to perform a variety of flamenco styles, captured the attention of the public and critics alike. His distinguished style and ability to express emotion earned him recognition as one of the greatest flamenco singers of his generation. He has participated in flamenco festivals and collaborated with famous flamenco artists, leaving his imprint in the history of the genre.
